४.९/5 (५०९ reviews)

Mrs. Claus's recipe, to make as a family in the Village kitchen.

  • Total time: 45 min
  • Serves 4
  • Easy

Ingredients

Number of people: Serves 4

  • ४०० g ground meat
  • १ egg
  • ४० g breadcrumbs
  • १ onion
  • ४०० g peeled tomatoes
  • १ clove of garlic
  • Salt, pepper, oregano

Preparation stepsTotal time: 45 min

  1. Mix10 min

Meat, egg, breadcrumbs, half the onion, salt and pepper. Roll into meatballs. Count the time from when you start, and only move on once you get the result described. Amounts for this step: 400 g ground meat; 40 g breadcrumbs; 1 onion.

  2. Brown10 min

Brown them in a pan. Heat the fat over medium heat without letting it smoke. Stir so everything colors evenly: golden, never black, or it turns bitter.

  3. Sauce10 min

Sauté the rest of the onion and the garlic, then add the tomatoes and oregano. Count the time from when you start, and only move on once you get the result described. Amounts for this step: 1 onion; 400 g peeled tomatoes; Salt, pepper, oregano.

  4. Simmer15 min

Return the meatballs to the sauce for 15 minutes. The liquid should simmer, not boil. Stay close for the first few minutes to set the heat, then check that nothing sticks to the bottom.
