  • Serves 6
  • Very easy

Ingredients

Number of people: Serves 6

  • ३५० g flour
  • १५० g honey
  • १०० g brown sugar
  • १०० g butter
  • १ egg
  • २ tsp gingerbread spice
  • १ tsp baking soda, 1 pinch of salt

Preparation stepsTotal time: 1 hr 22

  1. Mix5 min

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, spices, baking soda and salt. Stir from the center outward until smooth, with no dry pockets at the bottom. Count the time from when you start, and only move on once you get the result described. Amounts for this step: 2 tsp gingerbread spice; 1 tsp baking soda, 1 pinch of salt.

  2. Liquids5 min

Melted butter and honey, then the egg. Shape into a ball. Count the time from when you start, and only move on once you get the result described.

  3. Rest1 hr

1 hour in the fridge. Press plastic wrap onto the surface to stop a skin forming, and chill it away from the back wall of the fridge. This rest is part of the total time.

  4. Bake12 min

Roll out, cut out, 12 minutes at 180°C. Preheat the oven to the temperature given, with the rack in the middle. Only open the door if the recipe says so: the dish is ready when it is golden and the time is up.
